Fed: Latham "hungry as" to scoop prime minister's job
SYDNEY, Aug 31 AAP - Labor leader Mark Latham said today he was hungry to take the
reins as Australia's prime minister.
"How hungry? Hungry as," he told reporters when asked how much he wanted the top job.
"(Labor is) ready to govern, ready to do a much better job for the Australian people."
Mr Howard, meanwhile, today reiterated his passion for the principal position.
"I love this job," he told Sydney radio 2UE.
"Does anybody really think I'd want to give up the job? I mean, I get a buzz out of it."
