COLES MYER/KODAK TEAM UP TO INTRODUCE DIGITAL PHOTO SERVICES.

MELBOURNE, Oct 20 Asia Pulse - Coles Myer Ltd (ASX:CML) and Kodak (Australasia) Pty Ltd have teamed up to introduce digital photo services at Coles retail supermarkets.

From today, customers at more than 480 Coles supermarkets across Australia will be able to order and collect digital photos for the first time.

Mr Barry Hendy, digital services manager at Kodak, said supermarkets were a popular consumer option for photographic ordering and a critical component in the company's digital strategy.

"We expect Coles supermarkets to become another key destination point for Australia's one million digital camera-enabled households - most users want to get prints from their digital camera easily," Mr Hendy said.

The service will enable consumers to order digital photos when processing their traditional film or collect 'real' photos from their digital camera after ordering via Kodak's internet print service, PrintKodak, available at www.kodak.com.au.

"With the rapid growth in the digital camera market it's timely that we provide greater options for users."

Coles' national business manager, grocery division, David Redmond, said the expansion into digital photographic services will provide a convenient offering to supermarket consumers.

"This service is the natural extension of our current processing offering with traditional film users and has the potential to transform the way consumers order their pictures," Mr Redmond said.
